This is the simplest, quickest of the four trails that go to the top.

This is probably the simplest way to go on all 4 up going trails on one hike.

This was our first hiking trial that we did, I would definitely recommend bringing walking sticks, and tons of water (more then you think), I also would recommend going in the early morning as there is tons of shade to start and is cooler. The map/directions can be confusing at times since there isn’t any clear markings or signs! On the trail it is easy to go off of it so be sure to pay attention as it can get dangerous. We saw families, couples, and dogs, it was most definitely a good experience overall!

Hiked to the top in the early morning. There's shade from the mountain on the trail if you go before the sun gets high enough (before 8am). It's an easy hike with good elevation gain. Great views, lots of lizards and cows.

We loved this hike! We chose to go up on a beautiful but windy day around 4:30 pm. We went slowly and made it to the top by 6 pm. Down well before dark. Gorgeous views of the Organs, the Robledos and more. Only saw 5 people and 2 cows. Everyone practiced good social distance. :)

This track shows a route up the west side, to the top, then down the east side. On the west side, there are some interesting rock formations I call the Rock Garden.

We went all the way up. It’s really pretty from the peak. It’s surely worth it. Enjoy a 360degrees view of Las Cruces. Descending seems a bit difficult ( early part), pause a bit, and you will find an alternative route just by the difficult route.

If you enter the trail head in maps, it will give you directions to the parking! It is very steep, so be prepared for that.

Awesome trail for moderate level hikers. Parking available and easily accessible. Views once at the top are amazing. Area is used for cattle grazing. Map helped out a lot. Plan to spend a couple hours hiking.

Great easy hike! Did it at night w headlamps and saw tons of spider eyes glistening and sparkling in the light, saw a big centipede and friends saw a rattlesnake. Super windy at the top, but great sprawling view of Las Cruces and all around. Can be rough road getting in, need somewhat of high clearance, Subaru Forester did fine though.
