Nice views. Best to get brochure from BSA first.
A nice trail usually hiked by Philmont Training Center attendees. The trail marked on this app is way off. The trail is on the north slope of Urraca Mesa, which is to the south of Tooth of Time ridge. This map shows it way north of ToT ridge, which is wrong.
Hiked this with scouts a few years back. Great trail with great scenery.
Did this hike as a Boy Scout participant at Philmont Scout Ranch. The scenery in the backcountry here is beautiful.
Reminder, this trail is only open to participants at Philmont scout ranch. I attended a Philmont leadership conference and took the trail on a slow day there. It was a basic hike.
One of the few available to those attending a leadership conf. It was nice in seeing the transition from desert fauna to forest fauna. Nice overlook. The highlight is seeing a bear on the trail.
