This trip starts at NM485 off of NM4. Turning onto FR652. The first few miles are kinda rocky and rutted, but by the time you get to FR534, the road is more maintained. Keep following FR534 to FR20. We took a side trip up Redtop Peak, which used to be a Forest Service lookout, but now the only standing structure is an old out house. Coming down, pick up FR20 and continued on to NM126. From there you can go north and west to Cuba or east to La Cueva and Jemez Springs.

Only did a portion of this trail on a KTM525EXC, due to my tank size and no gas stations close by the end point. Crushed granite speedy sections, super rocky sections, and forest thruways. A day on the trail is never a bad day. Will pick up where we left off next time we’re back.
