Gentle On The Bones

Start the hike at Roots Farm Cafe down the road. It's a gem of a coffee shop.

This is the hike you do when you want to get the blood moving, but don't want to work too hard.

The valley is probably the best part. It's pretty peaceful.

The climb is well groomed and easy going. You could run/bike it if you wanted.

Check it out. No spectacular views. No waterfalls. Just a good hike.

I do love this area, expecially if you take a left at the very begining of the trail. You end up walking parallel with the freeway but there are some amazing cliffs, lots of water pockets depending on the time of year and very green and lots of wildflowers. It is perfect to take your dog (s) on this trail since the mountain bikers take the other trails and you dont have to worry about being in there way. One of my favs for sure !
