The trail is very well maintained. We saw some wildlife (deer). Not to strenuous- very enjoyable.

Nice shaded trail. See the other side of the new trestle that you can view from 82. There is also a trail to the old trestle that has collapsed.

Super easy hike. Mostly soft dirt paths. Not too rocky. This is a good trail for young kids. Great views and fun to see the old trestles. The park at the trailhead is a great place for a picnic with separated spots of tables/grills, very clean restrooms, and a water fountain. The hosts are friendly as well.

Nice fairly easy trail near Cloudcroft. Good views of the Valley below and of course the trestle.

It's actually in cloudcroft not mayhill. great little trail close to town. The finish line/ turn around point gives you that view of the trestle bridge which still looks amazingly sturdy for 100 years.
