Requires 9 river crossings each way to get to the hot springs. Agree with another review that the river water was quite cold, but it was mostly below the knees and in a few places slightly above the knees. Most of the crossings were pretty easy, though a couple had slippery rocks. Our 4 year old daughter walked across one herself and we carried her across the rest. The springs themselves consisted of a couple bathtub size holes in the ground, with water supplied by running down the wall next to it. Very warm but not hot. We went in the hole on the right. The hole on the left seemed too dirty to go in. Not that luxurious, but it felt kind of unique and totally isolated. We saw no one else on the trail. The challenge of crossing the river combined with the lack of other people made this hike feel adventurous.

Did this trail in November with 50° Temps and probably wouldn't do that again. There are multiple river crossings and the river is freezing. Hot spring is tiny and warm. Maybe we'll come back when it's warmer out.
