Lobo Peak via Manzanita Canyon Trail #58 is a 11 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Valdez, New Mexico that offers the chance to see wildlife and is only recommended for very experienced adventurers. The trail is primarily used for hiking and trail running. Dogs are also able to use this trail.

Our group (no animals) was able to clear the half a dozen water crossings. We improved a few of them. The one at the very beginning is the easiest. Grade is consistent for about the first three or four miles while still in the canyon and following the river. Final miles to summit are very steep. No snow
