Gavilan Trail is a 4.7 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

This is my favorite hike in NM. It's difficult but do-able, and the views from the top are incredible.

Hiked this trail all the way to Lobo Peak and WOW. There was snow and the perfect amount! The views are really amazing and God’s glory is definitely shown out here, definitely Recommend this hike and especially to Lobo!
