We partially followed this route, which is out in USFS cattle country with lots of dirt roads. Some of the trail sections follow cow trails. Very green and lots of flowers this year. Also, it is a firewood cutting area, so don’t expect pristine. Some of the rocky ridges and Boulder formations are pretty neat. Distant views of the snow capped peaks were beautiful. Quiet, but it might be busy at times with wood cutters or four-wheel-drive‘s. Part of our route back does not show as my cell battery gave out.

The best part of this hike is that there were no other people. Wide easy trails are actually dirt roads. Some interesting rocky outcrops along the Mesa sides. Otherwise pleasant gramma grass open lands. Breezy and sunny but nice for a stroll. Would be easy with toddler or kids.
