Very easy walk through the woods within city of Ruidoso. Several on trail out for a midday stroll.

This was the first trail we used upon starting our lifestyle change. This would be a very easy walk for most.

It’s a great place to start if you are new to hiking, want a regular short loop, or want to work in an exercise routine - there are fitness stations on the east half of the route.

We used it as a pre cursor to getting back into hiking again.

The trail is well maintained and you can walk next to someone and enjoy a quiet conversation.

This is a gravel path/dirt path that has fitness stations alongside part of it. It wasn't really a hike, but we enjoyed a brief stroll here with our 12-week-old son. He was even able to stay awake for most of it, and saw his first mule deer! I only wish it were dog-friendly.

This really isn't a hiking trail. It's located across from the Inn of the Mountain Gods (a stunning Inn & casino in the middle of the woods) & seems designed for elderly, children or really unfit people. It's a paved walk along the edge of the woods. There are a series of exercise areas along the way where you're instructed to do simple pull ups, push ups, etc..I will say that if I lived nearby or was a guest @ the inn, I would love using this "trail" to jog & use the fitness stations. You can easily hike off the trail into the woods too.
