Awesome trail-up hill to start but you quickly get up into the mountains. Tons of places to boulder if youre looking to do that. Other trails stem from here so yoy have lots of options

This is a good hike, for beginners and experienced hikers. The water coming through the trail brings lots of insects and mariposas, if you don't like insects I would not suggest this hike. Several areas to climb big boulders and get back on the trail or you can stay on the path to your left going up and follow it all the way.

Lots of bugs... when you get to the dead cottonwood tree, need to go to the left. there's a rock staircase going up to a 2nd one. then, scramble up the rock to a real trail on top.

The ascent trail is long and dull; it’s great for photography but not so much for hiking. Once you get into the mountain, the trail and the stream become one and it’s quite messy. You’ll have to do some moderate climbing along the way. Also, pick bug spray. The stream and shaded woody area is really muggy and thick with insects. Past that, it’s another valley followed by a rather difficult hike. Over all, I can’t really say I enjoy the hike. It’s more annoying than it is enjoyable.

Mostly flat, slight incline. Will still require actual climbing a few times. Mostly shaded and woodsy. Lots of large rocks and trees.

Great hike but we lost our keys at the trailhead today! The ring has many keys, one with a zia print, a cathead bottle opener, and a dog leash clasp. Please email dashiellhock@gmail.com if found!

Great trail! Around nine or 10 the 1st mile will have people usually past that it’s very clear, has shade and open parts of it.

Nice hike in the snow. it gets rocky and slippery as you approach the spring itself so be mindful of 6our footing while there is still ice and snow. Good steady climb and an easy walk overall until you get i to the canyon itself then it gets more challenging.

Wouldn't recommend this trail if it's going to rain, many wash crossings plus parts of the trail are the wash itself. Lots of side trails at the beginning to see new areas. Very pretty trail for being so close to the city
