Great hike, in my opinion, the trail was not marked and had to pause a few times in order to find the correct direction.

Great trail. It is VERY rocky and steep at times, I took my dog, wouldn’t recommend due to this. Wear shoes that have good grip. There’s is a small creek that runs down the valley. It makes the rocks slippery. The trail has many small cut offs that lead back to the main one. Beautiful views.

Great loop from three gun springs trail with car drop. If you end up coming down the wash or creek you’ve gotten off the main trail. Hot today but got out early. Not many people

Excellent trail on the upper rim, but we came back down following the creek. It’s not a maintained trail, so it was overgrown, wet, and a scramble to get down. I recommend Edmundo Canyon trail, but not this loop that follows the creek.

This was a very nice trail, we would definitely do this hike again! 10 out of 10

The trail is difficult to find and easy to get lost. Dog friendly and muddy. Bring a towel for your pup afterwards!

Really crowded this weekend due to the current state of the world. Lots of spots with steep inclines. It’s easy to get off trail so be sure to use your maps. Beautiful views, and shade around mile 3 of the loop. Be sure to wear waterproof hiking shoes. Great workout! Nice close to the city escape.

More traffic than usual due to it being a Saturday during COVID19. Trail was still fantastic, dry. Took my dog and fiancé. Great lower body workout. Able to see south peak which is not viewable from most vantage points in ABQ.

I lost my phone out there on Saturday March 7th around 3-4pm. If you take the trail to the right at the beginning, it was about a mile past the rocks you climb up in the beginning. if found please call 505.319.9692... it has my pictures of my daughter... thank you
