Beautiful campground, very clean. Woke up early and wanted to stretch my legs before continuing with my motorcycle trip and found this trail. Gorgeous easy hike, waked it at sunrise. Great way to start the day!

Many improvements have been made to the trail and campgrounds. Visitor center now has a self interpretive history of the Magdalena cattle trail and drives. VC also has WiFi and staffed with a campground host. More improvements are in the near future. Campground rates are a good bargain at $5.00 a night.

I've stopped here several times on the way to Arizona from Texas. A nice BLM campground is here.
