Easy, flat, perfect walking trail with great views. While I am visiting Las Cruces, New Mexico, I will enjoy this trail each day.

This trail is great for people who are just starting hiking or walking like myself. Almost no shade but a good place for running too. No signage but that's ok because it's hard to get turned around.

Jornada Hikers Meetup group uses this as the Tues evening stroll during the winter months. Perfectly flat and wide enough for everyone to stroll along and socialize even on the darkest night.

This trail is ok for an early morning walk or late evening. No shade so it gets hot fast. Pretty safe and good for distance. I think I walked 4 miles total. Not really a hike.

Great for a morning walk. Easy as it gets.

Very much a city walk more than a hike. That said there are nice views of the valley as you are up high. There is a path down the dam on the east side about a mile from the north end. Look for a big rock that marks the path down.
