Cochiti Canyon Trail is a 4.7 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Cochiti Lake, New Mexico that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

No hiking trail here but just before the road barricades there is a backcountry dirt road on the right. Super NM scenic drive, on map it’s “Dome LO RD” with classic canyons and overlooks. Easily driven by any SUV. Connects to HWY 4 at Los Alamos. Great day drive!

tried to ride this trail 9/4/17, but the road to the canyon was closed and baracaded with concrete barriers by the Cochiti Pueblo

Blocked off dirt road with decent views in the distance. Private property fences limit your access to really see anything spectacular. If you bring your binoculars you can see some caves in the cliff side.
