If you don't have a ton of time but still want to hike and get your heart rate up, this is the trail for you. It's fairly short with great scenery and a view of Georgia O’Keefe’s residence from the very top.

My wife and I hiked the trail today. Trail is in really good condition but does have loose rocks in some of the steep places. Well marked with the exception of one spot. Use this app and it's not a problem. Great views at the top.

Nice 3 mile hike, not too strenuous. Trail is in great condition. A few ricks to navigate towards the top, but not difficult.

Amazing views. Not much shade really. Hiked it with my basset hound and New Mexican mix dog, and we had so much fun. Remember to bring lots of water for yourself (and your dogs)

Great quick hike with a little bit of challenge and AMAZING views of the surrounding valley. Beautiful desert landscape; we did get hot because there wasn't much shade, so going earlier in the day would probably be best, but the trail was very peaceful and quiet without a lot of traffic.

The best views for only a moderate amount of climbing/elevation gain. Almost no shade, bring plenty water. We hiked up Chimney Rock, chasing the edge of a storm. Astonishing landscape.

Beautiful vistas, chimney rock is great, easy well worn trail, just HOT!

Quick and easy. Nice views. If you only have time for one hike while at Ghost Ranch, Kitchen Mesa is definitely better than Chimney Rock but chimney still worth doing.

Gorgeous hike. Took my small dog, and she had no issues on the rockier areas.

Up up up! This trail is relatively easy with some narrow parts. Rocky. A little scary at the top and windy if you're afraid of heights. Really beautiful views in all directions. Bring water, no coverage from the sun. No where to sling a hammock.

This was a really fun trail to hit. Awesome sceneary, decent elevation change. My wife, kids, and I tackled this the other day. If you’re in relatively decent shape, you shouldn’t have any problems. There are a couple spots where the path gets a little narrow which made me a little nervous for my 8 year old, but overall the path is pretty straightforward and manageable. Definitely some beautiful views, along the way as well as when you get to the top. If you’re walking a decent pace, figure it will take about an hour to get up.

Amazing views of the canyon and rock formations. Excellent change in terrain. Well worth doing the entire trail. Same rock formations as the Grand Canyon. It’s a long 1.5 miles to the top. But just when you think you’ve seen all the amazing views, there is more.

Spectacular views. A few quick rises along the mostly easy trail. Was a bit muddy in places a few days after a 6” snowfall, but that’s an exception and the trail is in good condition.

Did this on 1/21. Great trail that’s not too difficult but hits all the right notes. Beautiful red rock country and some elevation gain but nothing too crazy. One part in the shade the trail was icy, but you can get by fine if you go slowly (don’t need microspikes). Stunning views from the top in all directions. Out and back in under 2hrs. Highly recommended! Note: this is part of Ghost Ranch, which charges a $5/person visitor fee that covers all trails.
