The White Oak is a short, pretty, enjoyable hike. But be prepared for the elements. Wear long pants for protection against scratchy vegetation and ticks. On the way enjoy an old quarry and traces of a spring house. At the upper end hop on Raven Rock Road for a five-minute walk to additional trails into the Lockatong Creek ravine. By connecting trails you can enjoy a gem hike from Bulls Island.

This one was hard to find. It took me an hour and a lot of walking to find the trail head. I found it by mistake while starting to walk the bike path. There is not a huge sign at the trail head, no parking you actually can't really see it. If you go about 100 feet passed the Bulls Island parking lot you will see it on the left. No parking so you have to park at Bulls Head. The trail is not a loop it's an in and back. Don't get lost on the trail leading to the quarry...the real trail breaks off to the right. After the first smaller trail you are dumped into a gravel road...walk a few feet down to the left and you will see a start to another trail on the right. The trail is covered in wild roses so get ready to be scratched. At the end like I said you are dumped onto a road. You have to turn around and now go back. It was a pretty trail and quiet. Saw a few dear...enjoyable. There was no waterfall...I was disappointed about that.

Where is the waterfall? White Oak Trail is tricky to find but worth it. Park at Bulls Island Park, walk across hwy. entrance is on the right. Quarry was beautiful and it's a nice hike! Be prepared to walk through shrubbery! Have fun! Up Quarry Road to Raven Rock Road is Westcott Preserve with a beautiful, quick trail.

This is the White Oak trail. Nice hike. There is an old quarry to check out shortly after you begin the trail off to the left towards Quarry RD. Cool old cable lifting system still in the trees. Once you get to Quarry RD on the trail you have to cross the road to the left to continue on it. The trail is a bit over grown in the summer.

This is actually the White Oak trail as mentioned by a previous review. It was a bit overgrown with summer vegetation so I only went a little ways in. There is a trail head on 29, or you can walk up Quarry road to meet up with where it crosses the road. This was also overgrown this time of year. Will go back in the fall.

Couldn't find "tumbling falls" but there was a nearby trail called "white oak" that was a simple loop through the woods. We found a mostly dry stream bed to walk on that was a lot of fun and somewhat challenging at times
