this trail is not much, but not terrible as the reviews make it seem. Its a quiet little trail with good access to the river. A lot of mosquitoes and ticks is a huge downside however.

I would avoid visiting this trail, lots of mud and the trail has lot's of mosquitoes due to being close to a swamp. I also noticed homeless people living back in the woods. Not sure it's 100% safe.

Stop offs were overgrown and old. It was a nice walk besides that.

Nice little trail. Saw geese, deer, herons, turkeys, etc. Gets a bit flooded in low areas. Go out to Tie Off Point for the view, but pay attention to the tides so you don't get stuck out there. Would be a higher score, but the noise and vents/runoffs/pipes/etc. from the plant are a distraction from the peace and quiet.

My kids always enjoyed the little butterfly garden in the spring but the hike is overgrown, a bit shady, and ticks everywhere.

Scary. No one around. And if something were to happen the noise from the factory is too loud to yell for help. One and done. My advice, dont come here alone.

Pretty much what youd expect from a hike that goes around a trash burning plant.

First to Review

the trail that runs along the Wheelabrator facility easy yo follow. It opened up to a nice wide trail that lead to the river. I was disappointed it find that all the over look platforms over grown preventing access and access to the shore line was blocked by debris.
