Easy trail, well maintained. Great for the whole family, dogs, trail runners, and bikers.
In and out. Pretty flat gravel trail that goes the suburban community of Cedar Grove. Very pretty, well kept yards along the way. There's a few offshoot trails to explore which we'll do next time. It might be fun to follow the trail to Mills Reservation for more of a challenge. This was great for a nice walk. It was nearly six miles and a tad less than two hours. Bike, kid, family and dog friendly.
Definitely kid friendly.... it runs along Cedar Grove community park. If the kids wanna stop and play on the playground for a little bit, it’s right there. Paths were clear and wide. It was quite busy on a nice day with runners, bikers and people enjoying a nice day. The kids liked to explore streams and waterfalls.
Nice bike ride to get some riding in. No snow so it was a good choice
Moderately challenging mountain bike trail ride on the West Essex Trail and some local offshoots.
It is a few miles from our house, so it is convenient. Great for quick hike with the kids and dog, or bike ride with the kids (almost all of it is dirt or gravel). We start near Verona High School. The path includes a bridge over route 23 and another bridge over a small river.
Easy and not moderate.. mostly flat with 1 or 2 inclines. Need to go off the path to get to the streams
Not paved. Some areas rough terrain. Good trail overall. 6 miles total back and forth.
It was good with the exception of a steep hill accompanied by lots of loose rocks.
