I gave it a 3 because it’s definitely more to just add miles to your belt then any scenery...

This Trail is absolutely awesome I love it I rate it just about number one in the Pine Barrens. We walked the white trail and it was very well marked out and maintained. the trail offers a little bit of everything....great views, elevation changes, switch back turns and differentiate areas from pines to wetlands. only drawback was ticks were out in full force!!

The hike was great! We did the 3.1 trail of color green. Definitely nice trail a loop around. Moderate not to hard, was nice to go outside! Very clean trail. I would go again for the longer trail.

Wells Mills has miles of enjoyable trail that is easily accessible from Barnegat. There is little elevation change; there are a few picturesque spots on the North to Northwestern side of the lake where local Scout troops have build small stretches of boardwalk in marshy areas. Some muddy spots if there has been recent rain. Usually don't see anyone on the trails unless it's spring/summer. Heavy tick population present until the first frost hits, so spray up and check yourself when you get home during spring/summer.

Walked part of white and green trails on nice fall day with our dog who loved the trail. No bugs this time of year. Trails very clearly marked. Well worth the hike

Took my hound for the first time Saturday morning and we were surprisingly tick free! Peaceful with beautiful views of the lake. Definitely a new favorite for both of us!

great trails. almost attacked by a rabid deer (not really, it frolicked away). wooden bridges can be slippery. did an extra 2 miles trying to get on track but it's all good.

I have hiked this trail many time. It’s very peaceful and beautiful. However we went Tuesday and did this 8.4 hike and by the time we got to the car we couldn’t stop itching. The grasses were a foot high and small walking area that was filled with ( not sure yet) baby ticks or spiders. There were thousands all over our clothings and ankles, arms. Please be careful when going there. I would suggest not going at all right now.

Flat trail of sand through dense woods, good for leisurely strolling. Make sure that you bring bug protection during summer months. Millions of mites, chiggers and ticks.

Great hike! Lots of ups and down, nice views of the pond, and pretty cedar bogs. Some deer flies around wetlands, and as you would expect lots of ticks. Because of the terrain, the distance was greater than on the map, and took longer to complete -3.5 hours at easy pace with dog, and pictures. Ended at 10:30 am, when lots of other hikers were in the area, and kids around the nature center. Next time will start earlier!

Nice walking through the forest. The route is very easy. Please NOTE: hundreds of ticks this time. Very uncomfortable

my favorite in this area, usually empty and if you know where to look, great single track. green beret spray necessary in the warm months( ticks, chiggers, etc) but always a great ride. stays fairly dry after heavy rain. place just has a great vibe.

I think it's real nice trail, usually don't see many people on it, nice and quiet, different terrains, takes about 4hrs to hike, some places are muddy from the mountain bikes, but overall it's a nice getaway, relaxing, good way to get in some excersise, bring a lunch and chill, unwind, nothing like being out in the woods, Enjoy

Great system of trails for some after work mountain biking. Not super technical, some spots are a bit muddy.

Great bike trail for weekend mountain bikers. Great scenery, some elevation, couple jumps. There are 4-5 different trails that intertwined and can make for a more serious mountain bike run. Great visitors center!

Decent amount of elevation for a local hike. Only a few others out on a sunny mid April day. We’ll be back.
