This is a lovely set of easy paved and dirt trails that pass by a lake. It is a popular location for birdwatching. Accessibility: There are 4 designated accessible spaces in the paved parking lot off of Disposal Road in the middle of the trail. None of them appear to be van-accessible with striped access aisles. The trail surface is paved asphalt, wooden bridge or boardwalk with railings, or packed dirt and typically at least 4 feet wide. The estimated grade is gentle (3% or less), except for one moderately steep (5-8%) section at about 1.6 miles downhill when going south. Trail goers using wheelchair/mobility equipment or strollers may need assistance in the moderately steeper section or to avoid it for safety. According to the park website, all of these trails are wheelchair-accessible. The most accessible portion of the trail is the Lyndhurst Nature Reserve trail: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-jersey/lyndhurst-nature-reserve

Super easy trail. Covered both the Marsh Discovery and the Sawmill creek trails. Would definitely visit this trail again may be in spring.

Happy to have discovered this nature walk so close to home. The trail was not crowded on a November weekend and mostly wide enough to social distance. Cool breeze off the water and views of the NYC skyline added to the appeal.

About a quarter of the trail is a boardwalk path through a marsh. About half the trail is paved or dirt. The last quarter is a gravel path beneath and underneath some serious power lines. I’ve enjoyed this trail twice recently. I doubled back through the marsh both times because I enjoyed that section of the trail. This is fairly flat and easy trail. It would be quieter if the trail weren’t in the flight path of one of the local airports. All in all, I’ve found the trail to be a good way to get some exercise and escape from the NYC area traffic.

Really cool spot on the outside of lyndhurst , the area was an old dumping ground for many years , which is now capped and turned into a sort of reserve with cool pathways and bridges that are all connected, birdwatching peeps are everywhere so careful on your bikes . Part of the trail stops where the train tracks are but continue on the other side ahem don’t cross the tracks , cops don’t like it !!!but it looks like that trail continues a lot further up , maybe in the future they can dig a little waterproof underpass so the trail can continue.

very vice but they never say where to loop. if you're going counter-clockwise you need to cross at the metal bridge.

Well maintained trail with information about the swamp animals and plants. Shortest loop is less than a mile.

This is my second time on this trail. The first time I loved it and couldn’t wait to bring my husband. Today, the smell overwhelmed me. I remember their being a smell last time but I don’t remember it being so overwhelming. Mostly I smelled poo and nature (didn’t mind the nature part). The water was low and since the path end wasn’t marked we ended up crossing some very loose rocks. I just felt underwhelmed today. But, it is still a fine place to walk; not amazing, but fine.

Absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. Here at 4PM on a Tuesday. The ONLY downfall was that I felt uncomfortable alone particularly because there is water on both sides of the path and it’s super secluded. I left after just one mile in but I WILL BE BACK TOMORROW with a buddy. It was so beautiful. So serene. Reminded me that God is so big and vast and his mighty love for us.

Great park. Trails are easy to walk or run. Very cool scene of different wildlife, plants, and NYC. Dogs allowed, just not on the ‘boardwalk’.

Nice easy trail that we found accessibility friendly. Very little shade in some areas so would recommend avoiding high sun times
