Park at Locust Grove lot near Millburn Library. Take the Sunset trail for half a mile, then the Rahway (white blazes) and River trails for 2/5 of a mile. Turn right onto the Pingry trail for 4/5 of a mile. Then join the Lenape trail (yellow blazes) to complete the loop back to the lot.

Nice and Shady. A bit noisy along Brookside Drive. Dam at southern edge of Campbell’s Pond is under construction. Last 15-20 minutes of hike is all down hill on steep washed out rocky trail.

I would recommend this trail for anyone looking to explore. there are many different paths to take so every time you visit could be different. I saw zero trail markers though so I used the app and GPS since this was my first time here. Rocky so it's hard on bad ankles but that makes it not muddy. this trail I followed took you uphill so there was elevation. I loved it and I am NOT an avid hiker.

Great place to stroll through after work. Lots of shade, birds, lightening bugs, trail loop options... didn’t notice any significant landmarks so you’re kinda just walking around in circles until you feel done... just enjoyed being out in nature.

Great short hike with climbs.

1.21.19. A short, easy trail with some great features. As its name suggests, the Rahway trail follows the Rahway River, very pretty after rains. Of the limited ascents there are, the steepest is at the beginning of the Sunset trail, and more gently on the Pingry trail (going clockwise around the loop). As a mid-January hike, we faced quite a bit of sheet ice on the trails, but they were quite navigable nonetheless. If you're thinking about doing this one, here are my stats as a rough guide: Distance: 2.1 miles Elevation Gain: 447 feet Moving time: 57:32 (and we were ambling, so this could be done more quickly).
