Great trail but you should know if you’re running it’s uphill for like the first 2 miles. Also the total trail was 5.7 miles not 4.6. But very nice low traffic beautiful trail.

A good two miles of the trail was completely swamped, with some rocks to walk on through parts of it. Overall it was a fun adventure, probably more of a moderate hike with parts that were easy

lovely easy-low moderate hike due to some areas being muddy and slippery. next time I'll give myself time to hike a little further northeast to the falls. the rahway trail (white) is not very well marked so be aware of that, the lenape (yellow) trail on the other hand was very easy to follow.

Half easy / half moderate today. It’s rained for 24hrs straight and the rivers and even small streams are rushing so lots of crossings to navigate but also fun and beautiful. Starting white -> yellow know that the first mile of yellow will give you a work out uphill. I had to move around on the rivers to find crossings that aren’t knee deep, very happy for waterproof ankle height wolverines today. Almost no one on the trail except for the troll and fairy people and I think they stayed in there houses. Overall really enjoyable but work, I think that’s how it’s supposed to me ... I’m only in year 1 of this hiking life.

Do not attempt without considerable effort. The trail marked on the map does not entirely match reality at one point.

1.13.19. This is a really great hike, tracking the Rahway River for the first part and then looping back via the fabulous Lenape trail (yellow blazes). This part of the Lenape gets you to what seems like the top of the ridge and the walking here is wonderful — some ruins, racing brooks and a more open feel. There is no major effort required to walk this, but when it's over, you'll have travelled a fair distance and climbed a decent amount. Of the 5 trails you'll be on, River and Lenape are the longest (and prettiest). My stats (per All Trails app) as a guide: Distance: 4.6 miles Elevation gain: 666 feet Moving time: 1:50:47.
