TONS of ticks. Found over 40 on us plus 4 dogs. Pretty disappointed in this one besides that The pictures posted were misleading that there’d be plenty of rivers and streams. Once you get past the historic houses there is no water and is all up hill. The all trails map ends at the NY/NJ line (but actually keeps going) and there’s no view or anything at the “end”. We went back down a different path to pass a stream and the lake.

hope all is well with the all trailers. Ok if you like history then come check out long pond ironworks. Theres foundations on the trail around the civil war era. In the beginning of the hike it's easy than progressively becomes more challenging but doable so it truly is a moderate hike. I went beyond the app specs to the lake to lake trail as per my recording. Theres a couple of viewpoints worthy of a photo. My advice to see everything without obstruction..do it now! NO BUGS NO TICKS NO DOGGED HIGH HUMIDITY! So go for a hike.

A nice, quiet trail with a good climb and view as a climax.

Easy trails, but the map from the office isn't the best. Great place to go hiking alone because it is moderately trafficked.

Sterling Ridge Trail and Long Pond Iron Works. Lots of history to be seen. Pre civil war furnaces and water wheels easy to find as well as garbage and broken glass by the mine hole from teens. Rest of the trail is immaculate.

Went in April 2015 and it wasn't very well maintained or marked. Perhaps they will perform maintenance later in the season as there was still a lot of runoff and the trail was rather swampy. Small bridge across Jennings Creek was flooded with no safe crossing within a short walk - had to take boots off and wade across.
