I parked at the Kittle Field lot because the road to Stony Lake was closed. A little over one mile of this hike was on paved roads.

At the lake I took Swenson Trail (red) to Tinsley Trail (yellow). The yellow trail ends at Skellenger Road. Then the Brown/Green trail to Silver Mine Trail (orange). The Brown trail to Kittle Road completed this loop.

Beautiful lake views, waterfalls, trout stocked streams, and plenty of picnic and camping areas make this a worthwhile hike. Some areas are very rocky and wet but overall mostly flat with no significantly steep sections. It took me about 3 hours with rests.
