Parts were great. Other parts it was obvious kids partied on. The cut back on the return loop is a narrow land bridge with a 40’ section of cedar 6” round ( at most) logs you need to negotiate. Be prepared to get your feet wet. There are some beautiful sections. Overall I’d do it again. Just wish people would carry out their trash.

No markers for trails. Use all Trails or some form of guide to help you get through. Very scenic.

Ok. This hike was a lot of fun. First day back on trails since a serious ankle injury. We got pretty much to the end and the washouts were impassable. I love hikes like this. we were taking every offshoot trying to find a way passed. It wound up being around 7 miles when we got to our car. So much for taking it easy on the ankle. I'm hurting but it was worth it.

3/13/2021 Great sandy trails. Little traffic making hike relaxing. Crossings over causeways flooded making full loop impossible at this time of year.

Beautiful hike. one area was flooded out so we backtracked a bit. Excited to find another way we walked until we found that area was flooded out as well. Walked thru grown in, no path area in order to get around the pond. Risky, unmarked, fun and exciting. Loved it!!! Looking forward to doing it again in the spring or summer.

Wanted to try this one today. Didn't see anywhere to park my minivan. 2 dirt spots were taken, didn't feel comfortable off roading onto large rocks, or around a large puddle.

Rather rough and massive ponds in the trails, several spots completely impassable.

This was an easy trail, no elevation gain, and was enjoyable. The sandy soils are the best part. Good for a beginner.

Nice wide dirt roads so you can walk down the center during chigger season

All around the Lake there are a lot of blow outs so you can't cross so it's a big loop.

Both cut throughs “through” the waterways were flooded and not passable. Did find some “off trail” trails!

OHV/Off-road drivingOff trail

Very easy trail with a lot of different twists and turns to get lost in for a few hours, although it would be a very long trail to walk, there is a lot of beautiful areas that can only be found by stopping the car and walking around for a bit

Great trail if you get creative, My good friend and I made a 10 mile loop back here but, like the reviews said could be flooded and washed out.

Nice walk, wides sandy trails. Mostly for atv or trucks. But only saw a few on this beautiful Sunday morning. Lots of birds to watch. If you go around the lake,There are a few parts of the path that are washed away, almost saw two bikers go right into the water. When we were heading out, we saw a bunch of turtles just hanging out in the sun.

This is not your typical woodsy trail. You are able to drive most of it in a 4x4 vehicle. The trail is very sandy and often filled with very large puddles that force you to turn back and go a different way. We ended up having to turn around quite a few times due to dead ends or puddles, and ended up having to walk back to our cars on the main road. It was not possible to follow the recorded trail unless you plan on swimming across the lake in certain parts. Overall, it was still a cool hike with the views of the lake. Saw a lot of wildlife too - frogs and a snake!

Great trail. Hard dirt, so many trails that run off the main drag so you can make it your own.

Definitely nice scenery but do not follow the marked trail on AllTrails… It is not accurate. We had to backtrack several times because the trail had been washed out by storms in the past apparently.

Nice scenery for sure and flat open trails. The only thing is this advertised 4.3 mile trail is not looped. So if you walk around the multiple bodies of water which was recorded to be around 4 miles be prepared to walk directly back your original track because of the fact that it’s no longer looped. As a result total hike is 7 or so miles.
