The best way to get on the unmarked Stony Brook trail is to walk down the far end of the lot, away from the lake area. On the right corner there is a trail you can follow along the brook and through the picnic area were you then pick up the Silver Mine Trail. Continue along the Silver Mine Trail until it branches away from the Brook. At this point follow the unmarked trail along the Stony Brook. Eventually the trail comes out to a barn and road. Take the road till it dead ends. This is were you pick up the Blue Mt trail. Take Blue Mt trail to the orange Silver Mine. Then back to the start.
Definitely a fun hike. The park has it as a moderate hike due to the multiple trails you take to make up the loop. But really great walk and saw some cool spot.
great trail
The tail is a little wet but doable
Fun hike. Easy for small children.
The hike is moderately easy and moderately interesting. The falls were nice, but in an area with as many as the Delaware Water Gap they're not impressive. I get excited when a trail includes an historical feature, but the silver mine is nothing more than a small gap in the rocks filled with stagnant water. At least there were some toads.
Great hike for beginners through a forest. Make sure to stop by the river and the old silver mine.
Beautiful Fall hike! Trails are well marked . Waterfalls and fall folliage we're gorgeous!
A nice trail that shows off all the best parts of Stokes. Some nice waterfalls and plenty of gorgeous scenery to take in. Not a hard hike at all.
