Without the map, we started off from a parking area the wrong way. So needless to say, we found our own trail and it was more moderate than easy. I wish we went the right way to begin with.

3/14/20; Easy, wide and woodsy. Trail not marked and many forks so use of app map is a must. Reaching Mile 4.5 at Hamburg pike was like walking into boondocks backyard which was an odd scene after a quiet trek. Luckily park ranger were present that day near parking area.

Trail is not labeled at all. Also appears part of the trail is on the main road per. AllTrails map. Yes check for deer and bear season.

This is a wildlife refuge and is open to hunting. Check your NJ fish and Game for deer season dates. Trails are not marked. It was a very peaceful hike. Just make sure you keep on the trail. It's easy to lose your bearings especially in fall when the leaves are on the ground. Should be labeled moderate.

The trail is easy but not marked at all. It is also longer than stated. Lots of bears so be prepared.

Nice trail. I parked at silver lake parking lot. The trail is wide, but it takes you through wooded areas that are peaceful. Easy hike.
