Great hiking trail. The constant dynamic change in scenery between views of water and woodlands makes you feel like your Narnia.

Beautiful trail with views across to the water from the cliff. Hike it self was fairly easy apart from the steep climb back up on the north tip of the trail. Which you can avoid if you start your hike heading north. But keep in mind it will be a steep climb down. Have fright shoes and balance.

Very nice early morning hike. The outbound walk along the shore Trail was very nice. The hill climb at the far end of the loop was a good work out. The return trail Runs next to the Palisades Parkway for much of the time so it didn’t feel as much like being in nature.

Long and mild trail. Few steep areas but manageable. Slightly muddy from rain 2 days ago but east enough to walk around. Went clockwise and steps down were definitely easier.

Muddy in some spots, rocks in others — definitely bring snacks and good boots. Beautiful views, nice and empty on a Monday afternoon!

More on the easy side. If you go counterclockwise, there’s some steeper incline later which was nice and hard.

HikingGreat!

Great trail overall, but for those not in shape, the stairs going up can be challenging.

Tough on the switchback section at the top of the loop but worth the beautiful vantage points.

Great!

Do not park at the police parking lot. I just get hit for a $51 parking ticket. There is a small sign said “ employee parking only M to F”. Park across from it , the dirt area is ok or the alternative parking area.

Be extremely careful about parking. We obeyed all parking rules. Nonetheless, received 2 parking tickets for almost $140 for invisible signs. I understand that the park has lost money due to the closures. It was a nice winter snow hike... got a little too steep for snowshoes. But, the price is not worth the view.
