I've been on this trail multiple times this past summer/fall and it is always enjoyable. Once you get off the bridge onto the island, it is easy to follow the main "loop". There are many small trails that branch off that allows you to go further onto the island and some that lead to small openings to the water front. I have found some litter and old broken bottles/fixtures deep in the trails but I guess you'll find that anywhere. Awesome trail, great fishing in the water as well there, always active and a lot of wildlife especially the birds.

After the bridge it gets a little unclear where the trail is, got lost a little but it was great!

I highly recommend this trail for any beginner hiker. It’s beautiful and it’s not heavily populated with people (on a beautiful Sunday morning). Beautiful sites and not hard to follow. The reason I rated 4 and not 5 stars is the trail on the island is not marked so as a beginner it made me a little weary to do the loop.

Only stayed on what seemed like the main trail. Seemed like a nice balance of ups and down. Pretty cool to get the bridge and get over to the island. Plenty of people enjoying the trail.
