Nice short loop around Hank’s Pond. White trail to blue at 1.5 miles, then white and blue blaze back around the pond’s edge. There’s some old structures, spots for fishing and views. The route can easily be extended by staying on the White trail until it intersects with the Highlands, and there’s other options as well. Easy to moderate trail, some steep sections, and it can get muddy. But there’s beautiful rhododendron and mountain laurel in the spring, great views of the pond and a good birding area.
