Fun trail for mountain biking. Started at sunrise parking lot in Lewis Morris Park out 5 miles and then back 5 miles. For the most part Trail is dirt and gravel, lots of big roots in some sections and a few bridges with no ramp on: off so had to get off Bike and walk across. Two sections where water in brook was higher and moving so again had to dismount and walk Bike through water while using the stepping stones. One very long uphill section from the Mendham police station but rewarded with coming downhill on the way back. I’d rate this as moderate because of the roots and rocks but definitely recommend!.

Very easy, obvious path. I brought my bengal kitten for her first trail walk here and she made friends with a little road near the water.

This is a long out and back. Crosses several major streets you can park at to get on/off the trail. Has some very beautiful scenery and gives you a unique blend of cross country riding. Not too many major climbs or descents.

The map is not accurate in the vicinity of Union Cemetery. Following the path along East Ave you turn left onto Peach Tree Rd before the cemetery. Follow Peach Tree to the end, then make a right onto Heron & a quick left onto Candour Ct. At the end of the road is a paved path that connects to the PP on the left - this will soon take you to Reservoir Road. Do Not walk to the end of the cemetery and attempt to make a left as the map shows - this is private property and not part of the Patriots Path!

Lovely, especially the sections that cross into the Frelinghuysen Arboretum.

Part of the path goes along the Black River (Blue Trail), past the Cooper going towards the Kay center. Nice section of the path; level, very few roots/rocks; good for young kids; a bit of wild life to see.

The paved section is about 1.5 miles one way And is an easy walk. The dirt trails are nice. There are sections with a lot of small rocks. Pretty easy dirt trails till you get to the big hill right by a road then it's pretty hard
