Nomahegan Park Loop is a 2.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Cranford, New Jersey that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and running.
Just a quick jaunt. Lots of idiots not wearing a mask out here today. Beautiful weather and the parks department is clearing up the area.
This want at all what I read... unless I misunderstood reviews and description. It is a nice area but it is a 2 Mike paved walk or bike ride. Majority of the walk you're on a residential street and walking along another major. road. as I walked I saw Lenape Park, separate from this trail. if you want to get a walk in our have your kids ride bikes or scooter good for that. plenty of land where a trail can be made. playground and bathrooms available.
Paved path around the lake was busy, but fine, nothing too exciting. The path thru the woods was the better part of the trip. I forgot to turn off my recording when we left, we didn’t actually walk down the highway.
Very easy loop even for newbies like me. Lots of families and dogs on a Sunday. Walking for fitness on the paved path would be great! Mile markers along the way. A little woodsy area for nature hikers in the middle of the park. Nice for cookouts too with a playground. Not for serious hikers but pleasant.
the trail was nice especially along the lake and the wooded areas. lots of bugs. lots of people not wearing masks. would not recommend for the unmasking reason.
Used the pavement trail, so I wouldnt consider it a hike. Definately great for parents with strollers. easy for anyone who bikes, rollerblades, scooters, ect. there are trails in the wooded area as well.
One of my favorites! Clear paths. You’ll see Deer and squirrels running around. Scenic views of fountain, bridges, pond and beautiful trees.
Very busy. Lovely park, but terrible choice if you’re trying to practice social distancing
