Pretty but totally wide open and lacks any sense of adventure for my toddler the way the woods have. Also, it was very crowded and not a single other person was wearing a face mask. We sat under a tree and relaxed away from the crowd for a while which was nice, but we will not be returning soon.

First of all, don't use the address listed here. It takes you to a location that's reserved for emergency park access. No parking there or entrance. Use 2 Main St, Far Hills, NJ. Hard-packed trail surface. Bicycles are allowed. Very pleasant trail.

Walk, run, play or picnic. This trail has it ALL. A park like setting with a gravel walking trail along the main path. There are benches through out, shady spots and a beautiful running river. If you venture up the nature trail it gets a bit steeper and rockier as you cross over the river bridge and into the flower meadow. Once in the meadow you can walk upon perfectly kept grass with rolling hills. It’s truly breathtaking. This trail contains inclines and declined so I wouldn’t recommend for elderly people with bad knees but it is a great cushion for runner and walkers alike. A beautiful old barn lies along the trail and even has a port o potty in case you need to make a pit stop. I will 100% be returning to this trail. I felt safe and at ease the entire time!

Beautiful and well maintained with some different views than woodsier trails in Central/Northwest NJ. It’s the old estate of a Moroccan prince (no, really) and hilltop views are very picturesque. Expect mud if it has recently rained, particularly on the smaller loop to the left of the parking lot. That lower trail floods constantly and has mucked up several of my shoes.

Excellent trail! Crushed gravel, part packed and part loose in the beginning. The path up to the nature trail is a bit of a grade, and has many loose rocks. But once you get to the top, you're at wildflower meadow. Take the grassy path around the meadow, but watch your step, halfway through the meadow the path slopes downward and to left. Peaceful and beautiful, the perfect walk or easy trail run.

More of a walk then a hike. Smooth gravel path around field loop. Followed by a grassy path around a meadow. Plenty of dogs out with the sun today. Very heavy friendly dog use.

Clean, easily accessible. Great for if you want a thirty minute walk with your dog. You can also take the nature trail which adds 1.5 miles.
