HikingGreat!

Nice, moderate, pretty trail with a decent view through the trees across the valley. I've done it several times in the morning on a weekday and there is almost no one else there. Only bad experience -- other than my tendency to get lost -- was trying it in the summer and having to stop because of the poison ivy. It is well marked, but I still miss turns. If you have a tendency to get lost, be careful at the following spots (assuming you are going counter-clockwise): - just after you cross the creek, make sure you take the steps straight up instead of taking what seems like the 'natural' route - shortly after that as you are ascending, the trail goes right (which seems strange, since on this whole 'upper' part the gorge is generally on your left). I tend to miss that turn. - watch for the turn to start the zig-zag descent (unless you want to keep going the long route, which I don't particularly enjoy) - at the bottom of the descent there is a straight, flat footpath. That is *not* the trail. You went a little too far. The trail parallels the foot path 10-20 yards up the hill. - The trail that parallels the foot path eventually comes to a crossing and it is not obvious which way to go. Left is up, right is down. Go straight across (I think blue blaze?) and it curves up towards the stream and the pretty bridge.

they seem to have made an effort to reblaze the trail making it easier to follow. from the waterfall we followed the path closer to the waterfall. don't do that. it doesn't connect easily. take the higher path

We started to the right. It’s a bit icy. Took the shortcut across the stream. Turned around a few times to find the blue trail right around where the gate is. It’s a sharp left before the gate and the entrance is not not well marked but after crossing the stream again the blue markers were evident.

Nice hike. A little tricky due to the ice and snow. We went counter clockwise. Crossing the streams was a little difficult, and going down the White trail was very icy. We followed the old railroad bed back to the Blue trail and then headed back to the parking lot.

The south trail (on the right from the parking lot) was extremely rocky and slippery from dry leaves. It was difficult to enjoy the view while paying attention to foot placement. The north section was much more manageable. Still a good amount of hills, but far fewer rocks in the trail. Well marked and nice to be able to do 3, 4, or 5 miles with the trail loops.

Well more like 2.5, I felt as if the map and alltrails was a bit confusing and I got lost. I've been doing this awhile and I can't remember another time I've gotten lost. But besides that there was some good scenery and some nice river crossings (and I didn't get wet)
