Beautiful views, definitely recommend taking the turn through the cedar swamp, it’s really beautiful. Little crowded on a weekend and starting to get a little buggy.
Clear trails. We spotted some woodpeckers, frogs, hawks, and interesting insects. It was a great day with young boys!
Went in January, trail was frozen over with Ice. Still a very good trial
Very icy. Would not do this hike this time of year without traction aid such as Yaktrax.
nice trail in a little bit of snow. Not much crowded! Amazing lake and the monument views
No fee in the winter. We had a great time! Trail was snow covered. Thankfully we had traction cleats and hiking poles! A must! It was lightly snowing. Trail is well marked. Lots of scramble.
