Can only hike to the meadow with high grass, trail gets lost in the grass. Unnamed road is a private driveway. I will go back either in the fall or early spring to try to hike to the bluffs.

There was a great overlook if you walked a bit further along the cliffs. Lots of berries. The field is absolutely beautiful but you might need sunscreen. Be liberal with the bug spray; the field is the perfect environment for ticks.

Once you get to the the fork in the trail, go left. I went counterclockwise (towards the right) and it is SO overgrown I went the wrong way at first, because I didn’t think there was a trail and I felt like I needed a machete haha. Anyway, I went through the overgrown areas (got ticks) and it led me to a pretty view. In my opinion, rather than doing the loop you should go towards the left, see the view, then go out the way you came.

Great quick hike or stay a while and set up some hammocks. Great views of the river at sunset but, be aware of loose rock near edges.

This trail was great. Very easy. The map was helpful but we still ended taking a few directions that weren’t exactly marked. The way out we took was a bit overgrown as if not frequently taken but it was on the map and landed us back at the end of the initial fork. Will definitely do again and bring some friends. There’s a nice wooded spot that would be great for a little rest and picnic.

awesome views from the bluffs! the path to the right is an overgrown field but still kind of cool. only saw one other group. don't underestimate how quickly it gets dark after the sun goes out of view.

Milford Bluffs Trail (Breden Preserve) provides an enjoyable look at the Delaware River from bluffs north of Milford, NJ. Take Water Street north from the center of Milford. Turn left on an unmarked one-lane gravel road (high clearance vehicle is best). A small parking area is located at the trailhead sign. An easy uphill walk on a well-used path leads to an active farm field. At this point, cut straight across the field to the bluffs, or use a poorly marked path to north (right) to walk around the field. Once across the field, the bluff trail runs north to south , and is easy to follow. There are no trail markers along the bluff. A great beginners’ hike with rewarding views.

Confusing trail but overall worth it for the views! Muddy paths, wide open meadow, and steep cliffs were a great combo. Not a steep elevation and good for beginners.

Great hike with views. Not much parking but more if you are 4x4.

Views of the Delaware River were amazing. The parking area was muddy, as was the beginning of the trail, but cleared up once we got up the initial hill. it was an easy walk around the fields to the top of the bluffs overlooking the river. We did go off trail to reach the top of the cliffs for good views of the river. That part was steep and we had to watch our steps due to the slope. It was clean. I only saw trash near the trailhead. There is a mowed path around the fields and a narrow beaten path through the high straw.

Nice but not well marked trail. It takes you into a field of hay that a path is cut through. To get to the overlooks you must leave the path in the field and head towards the river. All in a a nice hike in the winter, summertime the views may be blocked by the trees.

A little muddy but not too bad. A nice variety of terrain, though nothing too difficult. Getting to the bluff area was a nice reward with pleasing views of the river. A pleasant walk that is worth checking out.
