great trail. easy to moderate. some parts are muddy, and roots are sticking up, so no foot dragging. coming back from the reservoir, take the yellow path to the waterfall instaed of backtracking the same route up.

Lovely scenic trail with waterfall and reservoir views. Easy but sufficiently woodsy to feel like a decent hike.

Biking this trail was a decent workout! It was pretty rocky, and coming back the incline was too steep to stay on the bike. It did though have great views around the water and a nice scenic shot of the NYC skyline. It took us almost an hour to bike.

Beautiful, scenic trail around the reservoir. I went on Columbus Day morning and at most times felt like the only person on the trail, at least in the wooded area near the waterfall (that's dried up right now). Some steep areas, but doable for the average hiker. Lots of leaves down on the trail already. I'll definitely be back!

Well marked trail, pink blazes are at very top. Very high traffic until you reach pink blazes. Decently rocky around reservoir.

Definitely a nice hike moderate very flat some rocks could probably wear sneakers the entire way beautiful view of the lake up top.

Saw Momma and 3 cubs ramble across the trail right in front of us.

I used to come here weekly with a good friend, and hike. The bodies of water, wildlife, and well maintained trails make it an absolute gem!

Loved this hike but we went way off plan... accidentally turned right too soon and ended up taking the blue trail up then turned left onto yellow trail (which passed a nice vista with city views just off the trail) to cut back to the reservoir. From there , followed the pink trail around the lake, then from the dam took blue trail down to yellow , passed the waterfall (nice!), then took the green trail back to the parking lot which goes through beautiful a fern gully and ends along the ramapo river (note - this part was muddy and we had to balance over stones and logs across some streams).

For a reservoir trail, it’s actually pretty nice! There’s a decent waterfall off this trail which is clearly marked — take that trail and it will loop you back to the main trail. Gets crowded so start early.
