This trail combines a portion of the Lawrence-Hopewell Trail (LHT) with the Laurie Chauncey Nature Trail, which is on the grounds of Educational Testing Service (ETS) but is open to the public. (ETS has long been among the local public supporters of the Lawrence Hopewell Trail.) Part of the Chauncey follows the Stony Brook in a cool, shady valley with healthy trees. A part of it near the Chauncey Conference Center is more flat, but wooded, with grassy trails that can be a bit soggy after wet weather.
