Pleasant walk through cedar stands, past glacial erratics and old mine From parking, proceed southeast over field to edge of woods where you will see the yellow blazed trailhead (about 100 yards from parking). Enter woods on Yellow Trail and continue to junction with yellow/black dot trail. Turn right on this trail and continue uphill. Black Dot Trail climbs to ridge line, tuns north and eventually ends at the Yellow Trail. Turn left on yellow and follow back to car (you'll pass an open pit mine along the way). ====>Alternately, at this junction you can make a right on the Yellow Trail and continue for about 2 miles where the Yellow Trail ends near Bear Rock. You can leave a car at the Pyramid Mt Visitors center or double back. There are some fascinating glacial erratics along this section that are worth checking out<====

Great trail for kids and a dog. We went on a Sunday morning and didn't pass anyone, so it was quiet. Slight incline, but nothing the kids couldn't handle.

Bonus: The parking lot had plenty of spaces open and it's easy to find.

Trail looked promising, however it was closed due to PSE&G construction.
