HikingGreat!

Beautiful trail along the South Branch of the raritan river in the Gorge. Went early so not a lot of people but a lot of Fisherman. Limited parking between hikers and Fisherman in both parking areas so getting there early is a plus. Awesome trail to get back into the groove! Started at the parking Area by Cokesbury road then at Hoffman's Crossing we took the Columbia Trail to the bridge crossing the Gorge went down to the Gorge trail and back to the parking Area. Nice loop. Enjoy

A pleasant unexpected "find" while traveling through. Definitely an easy walk. Would look quite different with leaves on the trees. Well maintained.

HikingGreat!

Beautiful walk along the water. Parking could be a challenge and nearly a one lane road to get to it. So many fisherman along the banks. Very easy and flat with only one very rocky section that lasts for about 20 ft. Great for kids and family.

Walking

It's beautiful in the gorge, but parking can be difficult. We always walk the gorge, then climb up to the old train bridge and take the Columbia Trail back to Hoffman's Crossing.

Great trail with awesome views of the river the whole time. Doesn’t even feel like you’re in NJ, more like WV or VT!

WalkingGreat!

Mid morning on a week day and you’ll be alone, aside from the herons. A peaceful stroll along an old road with nice river views the whole way. I usually park in the small lot before the road turns to gravel. I always feel like an ass, smiling and waving as I bump along, forcing walkers and cyclists to the side
