High Mountain via Ringwood Ramapo Trail is a 9.7 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Oakland, New Jersey that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

September 19, 2020August 26, 2020June 13, 2020Pretty easy hike. Not a lot of steep parts as the elevation is mainly via switchbacks, rocky parts but well blazed. Views towards lake esp at high mountain - views would be better in winter. Took 3hr50. Parking was full at 9.30 on a Sat during Covid but this trail was v quiet (four other people).

February 16, 2019I think it was pretty well marked. But it is a moderate hike. Not hard. You can do a couple of variations. I did it in mid February. Only saw one other person. He was on a bicycle. Good for dogs.Very nice hike. Micro spikes were needed in the winter.
July 22, 2018Semi hard trail, parking sucks so make sure you get there early overall a good hike but i wouldn’t consider it hard. Also sometimes the trails are not well marked so pay attention

First to ReviewRattle snake warning!!! Be cautious! About 7ft long bringing of trail. This is a very hard hike lots of rocks and you have to pay attention to markings or you will get lost.
