Not too difficult, hiked it in exactly 2 miles. It was pretty hot (85) out, but the trail was mostly shaded so it wasn’t all bad. Bring lots of water, cause you’ll be chugging it.

Started the trail at around 7:30AM on a Sunday. Encountered few people along the route but was very quiet for the majority of the hike. Saw some wildlife which is always a treat. It is true, the markings aren’t always very clear, but I think that adds to the challenge, which is fun. AllTrails definitely helped get back on track a few times I lost the markings. Was exiting the trail at around 10AM and a lot of obnoxious hikers were making their way in, so definitely recommend an early arrival. Have fun!

Nice trail, the overlooks are very popular but not many people complete the actual loop. The overlook is massive enough to do social distancing. Can get confusing how to get past the pool, but fine after that. Very clearly marked great trail to do

Beautiful day for a hike! Only ran into a handful of people along the trail (hiked on a Thursday afternoon). Great views at the summit.

Good hike! Need to arrive before 8 if you want to beat the coronavirus rush. Parking lot was a zoo, but the hike was nice. Saw many people in the first half of the hike, but the number dropped significantly after the first viewpoint - going counter clockwise.

This is such a great hike! The view from the top is amazing, trail is a bit confusing (use the map from All Trails), and the level is pretty moderate — a good two-hour workout.

Perfect trail for a workout under 2 hrs. Started with green and quickly came across blue which was a nice loop with great views. Moderately rocky and definitely keeps things interesting with enough inclines, instead of a steady dirt trail. Poorly marked but not too much of a big deal if you pay extra attention.

A good moderate trail that has enough ups and downs with small rock scrambles. Good view at the top where we could see the nyc skyline. It was a good hike for my small 20lb dog (kept leashed). On good weather weekend days, would recommend getting there early as the parking lot fills up. I was able to get parking at around 8:30am though by the time we finished at 11:30 there was a long line of cars waiting to park.

I did a variation on the listed hike to extend it a little longer. From the parking area it’s best to walk down Snake Den Rd to the kiosk and beginning of trails. Hiking counterclockwise I started on the Green Blaze then White, Blue, Turquoise and Yellow dot in that order. A great hike with lots of elevation changes and great scenery of rocks and small streams. When I got to the lookout I was amazed at the view. NYC can be seen in the distance. Be mindful of the blazes on the summit. I ended up coming down the way I came only to climb back up. The trail does continue over the other side of the summit. Finishing up on the yellow dot be mindful of a small stretch of private property. Enjoy!

It’s a unique hike. As you drive in be sure to notice the Purple Lady’s house. If you’re lucky you will spot the purple lady. (Not kidding...look her up, she’s special). The hike takes you up to High Point. Nice views. Cool hangout spot. The rest is nice. I’ve done this a few times.

We didn’t take this exact route but close enough, fairly easy walk but rocky. Passes streams and nice views at the high point. No one around on a Saturday afternoon if you’re looking for some solitude!
