Green and Baby Blue Loop is a 2.7 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Morristown, New Jersey that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from March until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Good trail. Be cautious though, the ground was covered in layers of leaves so your footing may slip. There were no bikers (since we went late) but I’m sure during peak times, it can get dangerous.
The trails were covered with leaves. Orange was not well marked. We got lost once.
Great walk in the woods! Lots of loose rocks and exposed roots, but otherwise fairly easy, no big climbs.
Do not recommend this trail... poorly marked disaster
Lots of roots to step around and on, but very nice and maintained
Nice trail today with few other people and pleasant conditions. Not too buggy either, just a few squirrels and chipmunks. Easy to follow the trail too and a nice bit of up and down.
Nice babbling brook. Narrow path, and we had to scramble out of the way for a few mountain bikers.
COVID-19: If you are looking for a peaceful social distancing trail (like I was), look no further. Went in the hopes of it not being crowded so I can enjoy my hike while still practicing social distancing. Thankfully, I got what I wanted. Stayed on GREEN & I could probably count on one hand how many people I passed (mostly all bikers) who all politely kept their distance.
great for walking dogs and getting lost but not the best place for a serious hike
Lovely trail mostly in shade with little frog hopping across the trail and some kind of deer. Beware: as others have noted at the northern edge of the trail by Sunrise Lake, the trail is not passable so you have to go off trail and find your own way or take a detour that will add time to your walk. Lovely lovely trail though.
Beautiful trail. Although there is no trail that goes off the orange area. You end up following the yellow trail around until the end so it is about 3.5 miles total.
