Decent but nothing special in my opinion. Lots of bugs. Not very challenging and not a lot to see.

A little too narrow in some parts for social distancing but otherwise a great trail and workout!

Great Hike! Well maintained and marked. Not real busy for a Sunday. Half of the hikers were wearing masks.

Wow! I didn’t Lenape yesterday and hated it! Too many rocks and ankle deep in mud at many parts and frankly not so pretty. This trail was amazing. I trail ran most of it. Trees were so tall and beautiful and felt 100’s of years “lush”. For a hike I would say easy. For a run it was just enough. Not too many people for a Sunday during pandemic. By 1pm at end it was more crowded. I will come back on a weekday. Follow the directions below to find the trailhead. Oh I came within 3 inches of running on top of a small black snake. Ugh

Great day. Weather was perfect. Trials were not busy. This place is huge. Hiking trails are plentiful here.

It’s a nice, pretty well maintained trail - but pretty mild in terms of a workout and there’s not much to see. Lots of nice green trees this time of year. I would recommend parking at Lewis Morris County Park and walking down Sugar Loaf Rd to get to the clearing where the trail starts. If you want to do some uphill, start to the left, if you want mostly downhill, go through the grass on the right to the trail. It’s still just over 7 miles if you follow the trail and count the walk back and forth to the parking lot.

Lovely day today for a nice easy walk. Wasn’t too muddy at all, but was quite crowded given the weather. Takes about 2 hrs, best to park at Soldiers Huts parking lot to avoid the sightseeing groups.

Nice trail! Very easy to follow. Once on the trail, it is well marked and pretty difficult to get lost. No exciting views but good for a short day hike. I wouldn’t go out of my way to hike here, but if you’re nearby it’s definitely worth the trip! A little muddy but didn’t need boots for it, doable in sneakers.

Hiked the whole loop in about 2 hours and Only passed a few people the whole way. A few steep inclines and downhill bits and there are a couple of downed trees that need to be climbed over or under. My two dogs had a blast!

Great walk in the woods. Parts overgrown in late August so had to bushwhack a bit. Despite this, didn’t catch any ticks. Took 3 hours 5 min at brisk pace and one 15 min break.

This is a good loop hike if you aren't looking for views. It's relatively easy, but the hills in the second half are pretty tiring. Nothing your average person can't accomplish. Even with multiple coatings of bug spray I was harrassed by gnats most of the trail. It took me about 2.5 hours, although I did wander down the wrong trail twice. I saw a handful of people, but for the majority was by myself.
