Great for kids
very nice trail
Nice and a simple trail. Went with my family and thy enjoyed. Our daughter was thrilled as it was her first one.. Highly recommend this for kids as their first one.
We also saw some wild turkeys besides what other people have mentioned here on their reviews.
Well maintained trails, plenty of birds and chipmunks, some deer, frogs, and turtles. A shorter walk, but it's well worth it. You wouldn't even know you're five minutes from the GWB. Overall a nice escape with a nature center and owls. Be prepared for school trips in the spring and fall.
It's a good place to go for a short afternoon hike. It isn't strenuous and kids get really excited for the playground :) however, expect to hear cars, ambulances and jets. Because u can't really escape that in a small place.
many dear
not very scenic and quite a boring hike. some parts were nice, it was very flat and good for younger children but if you're looking for a challenge you won't find one here
It was a great way to get back into hiking trails Conquered all trails, and it felt great. Great place to just clear your mind. However a lot of background noise from planes, cars, landscapers, and homeowners who live right on the perimeter, otherwise great. I do recommend taking a plastic bags next time to pick up garbage left by other Hikers, Piked up a handful of wrappers and paper.
Started on the White Loop Trail, merged with red and followed Blue all around back Red then took Purple around till end back to Blue then Red into Yellow then back to start by red, took red into green loop lunch break by the Mystery Bridge, down the Red Loop Trail into Orange Loop Trail. Back to Red, up onto White and lopped around to end by Quarry pond.
Fun easy hike ! Was my dad's first hike and he enjoyed it very much.

Excellent trail for introducing young ones to the joys of hiking.
Sick place for kids! Good wildlife. Our 2 year old walked about 3/4 of it then we put her in the carrier. Easy on both accounts. Friendly people too.
It was a nice hike to take kids.. The small waterfall on the trail is very relaxing. Easy trail to walk.
great beginner trail. there are a few trails that can be joined together or done separately for a long or short day , offering terrains from woods following a rocky stream to a waterfall , meadows , and a swampy area as well . bull frogs deer woodpeckers and turkeys are abundant. great nature center for young ones to early teens .
This trail is not challenging but great for families with young children. My 2 year old loved hiking and exploring. A great starter trial for those introducing their young ones to hiking and exploring the woods.
Loved this short and easy hike. On a cool weather day it was refreshing and beautiful during Fall season!
Good for young kids (5-7 yrs old).
