The trail was nice and clear today. Late summer weather. There was one downed tree that was a bit challenging to get across.

Small trail but maintained enough to get through. Fallen trees have been cut. Nobody else was on trail except a few mountain bikers. Shady, birds and frogs along the way. Not too hilly, but has some rocks you climb. Would do again.

This trail is a nice, short, well-marked single track trail. Not busy on a sunny Sunday in Spring.

Enjoyed the Dry Run Creek Trail and decided to combine it with the blue and red Rockhopper Trails. Began at the Dry Run trailhead near Howell Living Farm. Walked 1.4 miles to County Route 518. Crossed road and immediately entered the Rockhopper blue trail. Followed blue blazes to the active streambed where the Rockhopper red trail joins from the right. Continue across the stream on the blue trail slightly downhill, and past an old stone bridge wall. Look for the red trail emerging from a hill on the right. (The red blazes are faded to pink and white in some cases.) Follow red trail as it winds and turns for about 2 miles until it rejoins the blue trail at the stream. Return to Route 518 via the blue trail. Then take the Dry Run Creek Trail back to the parking area. Total 7+ miles.

It had just rained last night, so the trail was muddy, but manageable with hiking shoes. Easy trail that provides a getaway in the woods.
