Crushed gravel trail the whole way with partial sun partial shade. It is heavily traveled but everyone we met were polite. We started at Washington’s Crossing and went up to the Bulls run recreational center and crossed the foot bridge there into Pennsylvania. Always a beautiful ride! There are some parts of the towpath on the Pennsylvania side that are closed due to construction so we got kicked out onto the road for a little bit which was not necessarily bad as the gravel on the Pennsylvania side is not as groomed as the New Jersey side. We stopped at new Hope on the way back for lunch add that to your trip!

Rode this trail many times. I usually start at Washington's Crosssing and go up through Lambertville and past Stockton a 25 mile round trip. Trail is relatively flat. Beautiful scenery throughout. If your riding on the weekend expect alot of congestion leading in and after Lambertville. It's a must do and my go to spot
