Decent. Well groomed. Trail by the pond was flooded but still passable.

The person below me says it best.. It's a relaxing walk that's best to do with friends.. I'd like to add that it's currently a bit muddy too.

Parked in lot at Pakim pond. Hiked the Batona trail to Norlemon road (wide sandy road) then took Cranberry trail back to Pakim pond. Trails were well marked and maintained. Fair amount of traffic noise on the Batona trail due to proximity of highway 72.

Honestly, I just didn't have the best of experience and I truly am never judgemental nor very critical but it was unpleasant to go through. First off, the amount of spiderwebs and mosquitos assaulting you is unbearable. I was walking through waves of spiderwebs to the point that it was ridiculous. The benefit of this trail is you are legit deep into nature and it is very quiet while you are on the trail which is lovely. The trees are beautiful, and have a nice plethora of it surrounding you. There is a little marsh/pond area you can meditate at but otherwise, it was like I was trying to get through the trail to avoid the bugs other than enjoy my view and environment. Also, there are parts where you're on gravel roads. Just an odd trail. I feel the rest of the area is best for biking. This was a plain walk.

enjoyed a serene and easy hike on cranberry trail (red), 6 miles. trail was good and marked well. mostly trees, some creeks and beautiful pond. not much in wildlife. trail was mostly shaded, which was perfect for a hot day. bring bug spray, you might need it.

Nice trail overall nothing fancy and narrow at some points. Added the red trail to make it a longer day hike. I would come back to hike again.
