Great trail, but be aware that the road is still closed to the trailhead, adding an additional 2mi each way to your hike. Great views, cool mine, but we were very tired due to the extra miles

From parking on Millbrook Road, the Orange Rattlesnake Swamp trail will lead you to the Outdoor Center and you can take the AT along the ridge. My route on this hike was the reverse and a bit of bushwhacking.

Did a sunrise hike on Thursday. It was a bit chilly (29) but awesome nonetheless.

It was a very nice trail. We did not pass many people at all, so it was a great place to “social distance” safely. Lots of waterfalls and streams to cross which made it fun and it had many twists and turns. We also got to swing up to Raccoon Ridge which has breathtaking views.

Great trail. The detour up to the falls will be difficult if it rains the day before but worth the risk!

HikingGreat!

Nice simple loop - up the Coppermine, along the ridge on the AT, and then back down the Kaiser (with the last part being done on the Coopermine to get to the start). Some beautiful scenery on the trail - hemlocks, creeks and waterfalls on the Coppermine, along with some old mine shafts. Being November the trees were bare and the views to the east were great (but no shelter from the wind). Oh, if you go, take a detour to the riverbank from the lot - worth it.

A good 6.4 mile hike, which has a little bit of everything. Finished it in 3 hours. Went on a Sunday afternoon, and there was ample parking.
